Latest GEPCO Billing / Tariff Rates 2025 – Key Changes You Must Know:
GEPCO tariff is the rate of electricity units in PKR. It includes all applicable taxes on every unit consumed. The value of the rates varies according to the categories of consumers, such as commercial, domestic, industrial, and agricultural.
Also, note that the price per unit depends on the consumption of electricity. Consumers with a small usage are considered in a different category, while those with higher consumption are considered in another category.
This category bifurcation is named as protected and non-protected consumers. Below is the detail of the article. We will explain the categories (protected and non-protected ) and the tariff rates of each in detail.

Residential GEPCO Tariff – Category A-1
This is the category of domestic consumers. Here, we explain (in detail) per-unit rates (among category) for both domestic protected and non-protected consumers.
1. Residential Protected Consumer Tariff 2025
The Government of Pakistan has identified 6 (six) different categories of protected consumers. It is based on the monthly consumption of electricity:
● 0 – 50 units
● 51 – 100 units
● 101 – 200 units
● 201 – 300 units
● 301 – 700 units
● 701 & above
If your consumption is lower (< 200 units) you will be considered as a protected consumer. In this case, as a protected consumer, you will be charged a lower tariff rate. However, if your consumption exceeds 200 units (>200), you will be classified as a non-protected consumer. So, as a non-protected consumer, a different and usually higher tariff rate is applied.

2. Residential Non-Protected Consumer Tariff 2025
If you use above two hundred (200 units), you will be classified as non-protected Consumer. So, you will be charged under the non-protected tariff. Be aware that this is not a single-time tariff. You will continue to be charged as a non-protected consumer for the next six months. And this is regardless of your monthly consumption during these six months.

Tariff Rates for Industrial Supply – Category B-1 to B-4
The GEPCO electricity tariff for industrial factories differs from domestic and commercial tariffs because of their high power consumption. Industrial consumers naturally use three-phase meter connections. They are charged according to on-peak hours and off-peak hours consumption.

These charges apply to all industrial consumers (Category B-1 to B-4) based on their connection capacity and levels of power consumption.
Agriculture Tariff Rates and Sanctioned Load
This category applies to the agricultural tube wells, which are used for agricultural purposes. There are 02 (two) sanctioned load capacities for agricultural tube wells:
● 25 kVA
● 50 kVA

Still, the per-unit rate remains the same for both of the capacities. The Agricultural electricity rates/tariff are lower as compared to the commercial and the industrial rates/tariff.
Agricultural Tariff Rates:
| Units | Peak Hours (PKR/Unit) | Off-Peak Hours (PKR/Unit) | Fixed Charges (PKR) |
