Residential GEPCO Tariff – Category A-1

This is the category of domestic consumers. Here, we explain (in detail) per-unit rates (among category) for both domestic protected and non-protected consumers.

1. Residential Protected Consumer Tariff 2025

The Government of Pakistan has identified 6 (six) different categories of protected consumers. It is based on the monthly consumption of electricity:

      0 – 50 units

      51 – 100 units

      101 – 200 units

      201 – 300 units

      301 – 700 units

      701 & above

If your consumption is lower (< 200 units) you will be considered as a protected consumer. In this case, as a protected consumer, you will be charged a lower tariff rate. However, if your consumption exceeds 200 units (>200), you will be classified as a non-protected consumer. So, as a non-protected consumer, a different and usually higher tariff rate is applied.
