Apply for Temporary GEPCO Connection for Events & Construction – 2025 Guide
If you need electricity for a short time (to get it started or to get off), GEPCO offers temporary connections. These are helpful for events, functions (weddings or parties), or construction work (building a house or shop). There are two types of temporary GEPCO connections:
i. Residential Temporary Connection: For residential use
ii. Industrial or Construction Temporary Connection: Industrial or Construction use.
The step-by-step process for both is explained below (in easy words, for every one) on this page.
A temporary GEPCO electricity connection is valid for up to six months (good for multiple weddings or construction of a house). To use it for more than six (06) months or 180 days, you must submit a written application to GEPCO.
Along with the application, you will also need to pay the new demand notice to extend the temporary connection (nothing is free in 2025). This applies to both residential and construction use under GEPCO WAPDA distribution.

Industrial Temporary GEPCO Connection in 2025 – How to Apply (simple and easy)
Industrial temporary connections are given by the Punjab Industrial Energy Department, not directly by GEPCO (to make it countable…).
Steps to Apply (First Thing First):
Download the application form – Click Here
Fill the form completely and sign it
Add a cover letter (professional way) with your application
Attach the required documents, CNIC, Allotment & Possession Letters (see below)
Submit the full file to the Punjab Industrial Energy Department office
Required Documents:
Copy of CNIC of the owner and witness
Copy of Allotment Letter
Copy of Possession Letter
After you submit your application (for temporary connection) to the concerned office, the Electrical Department – PIEDMC will review it. If it is complete in all respects without any issue, you will get it. They will then issue a demand notice.
You must pay the demand notice (money is the key) to move forward (no excuse in it). Once the payment is made, the industrial electricity connection will be provided (hopefully, as soon as possible, ASAP).
